Of all the penis enlargement methods available today, penis enlargement surgery is the most expensive. Also known as penile augmentation, this is basically a surgical procedure which is designed to make the penis larger.
The surgery itself can be broken down into two parts, and this is the phase which is designed to increase the girth, and the phase that is designed to increase the length. Both phases will be conducted under the same operation, rather than performing both of them separately. With the girth enlargement phase, fat cells will be implanted into the patient. The fat cells will generally be taken from the abdomen of the patient, and these cells will then be placed around the penis.
The part of the procedure is known as the transfer of fat, and it is designed to increase the girth of the penis by a maximum of three inches. Again, while this procedure can work, I must emphasize that the patient who undergoes it is subject to a number of risks.
First off, the tissue which is implanted will give a soft feel to the penis, and second, there is a chance that the implanted fat cells can be absorbed into other parts of the body. If this should happen, the absorption will not be even, and the penis may have a lumpy look which is unpleasant to look at.
A way around this problem is to use what is called the “dermal transfer” technique. With the dermal transfer, strips of skin will be grafted with the fat cells, and this will stop the fat cells from being absorbed into the body. However, this surgical procedure is highly complex, and there is still the risk that the penis itself could become disfigured should complications occur.
The next phase of penis enlargement surgery is the increase of the length of the penis. To perform this phase of the surgery, the corpora cavernosa must be released. The corpora cavernosa is the tissue of the penis that will fill with blood during the erection.
During penis enlargement surgery, the hidden part of the corpora cavernosa will be opened by cutting into the ligaments that are attached to the tissues of the body. Because of this, the hidden part of the corpora cavernosa can be moved forward, which will enhance the length of the entire penis. The biggest disadvantage to this is that while it gives flaccid increases, erection increases may be less effective.
